Matte lipstick has always been my favourite lip makeup because it stays in long hours, yet there are several reasons why I dislike matte lipstick:
- Dry my lips
- It creates patches after I drink or eat
- Still need to re-apply it, even when the product description explained it does not need reapplication.
- The shade often oxides after several minutes of application
- Expensive – matte lipstick cost about $20.00
I try Maybelline SuperStay Matte ink and I immediately fall in love with this shade – red colar. I worn this matte lipstick for 8 hours without re-application and it turns out to be a perfect matte liquid lipstick that matches my expectations.

This shade is a combination of light red and orange – red colar.
SuperStay matte-ink did what they claim above, which is providing me with long-lasting and pigmentation.
The best part of this liquid matte lipstick is no oxidation. The shade will perfectly stay the same in my lips even after hours of wearing.
So far, Maybelline SuperStay Matte ink is the best matte liquid lipstick that I ever have.
Just to let you know that removing it, may take some time and it is best to use makeup removal that contains oil for quick removal.
Beauty tips
if you are concern with dry lips you can try to use Vaseline Petroleum Jelly or lip balm in your lips before wearing it.
You can also dissolve the petroleum jelly or your favourite lip balm to the matte liquid lipstick and shake it well but this will cause the shade colour to change into the light shade.
If this occurs then you can use eyeshadow with the same colour and mix it together into your matte liquid lipstick.
