Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence is the popular essence from this korean beauty brands. The reason I purchased this brands is because there is lots of people talking about how good and effective this essence is. The word of “game changing”, “it does really work” and “Love at first application” circulate through the brand website and social media, with 5 stars ratings.
Thinking that is really that good since overall review are just positive without any negative feedback at all. I purchase MISSHA in S$ 23.00 in Shopee Singapore, price comparison with the brand counter is big different, which is pricey. I do the test using my beauty cotton as usual, when I take out this essence, it feel watery not creamy as other essence that I currently have. for example Cosrx snail Essence 96 or even Clinique Even Better Essence. Trusting those review, I keep trying the essence up till 3 days with minimum of 3 times a days application.
Not even my skin starting to become brighten, not even my post acne scar is healing and not even moist my skin. I have dry skin as you can tell, and before I buy, I do read on the site that this essence is for:
- Those with temperamental skin
- Those with a dull complexion
- Those seeking a clearer, cleaner complexion and more moisturized skin
This is actually the ultimate reason I buy the products and with the rumor that this is the dupes for SK II, which apparently SK II is popular brand for skincare that is now provided in Watson, have no ideas if this brands still a high end brand or drug store. Nonetheless to say, I don’t feel any changes using SK II product that I purchased last time which is SK II skin booster that must be use while I go for a hot shower. Didn’t really effect my skin at all.
Me, to be honest has always having doubt with SK II, those advertising saying that the use of kojic acid whatsoever, I have done the research and it still a big question if the kojic acid are really a good ingredients for your skin. On and on, I try the sheet mask.. the quality almost similar to Hada Labo which is japanese drug store brands that I have recently find been really good in treating my dry, sensitive and acne prone skin. I have no ideas, if you thinking the opposite or your experiment with Missha or SK II is so good, but I still stick with my guts that these 2 brand is a no no to me.
With the reason:
- Standard quality
- not delivering any benefit to my skin
- I can get cheaper product with better quality
I am unlike certain people that focusing on brands, I will always try to figure out which kind of product ingredients that suitable for my skin, yet looking up product ingredients is not enough
Looking and focusing towards the brands is not gonna help me either to find the solution for my skin condition.
So, this is what written on the site:
‘Control the rhythm of your skin and experience daily improvement!
Use the highly concentrated essential essence at the first step of skin care for clear, glowing skin.
The mild formula was developed as a fluid type with low viscosity to increase the rate of absorption on the skin.
Soothes, hydrates, brightens, and reduces the signs of aging.’
To increase the rate of absorption, that really nice to read but yes, it’s absorb since it watery not creamy at all and then puff the moist gone and my skin still thirsty like hell.
Soothes, hydrates, brightens, and reduces the signs of aging, not even feel like it can reduces the sign of aging, not in the slight it brighten or hydrates my skin.
The reason they sell in drug store is because people nowadays are smarter and not brand conscious at all, this is also why you reading this article. People learn everyday about skincare and beauty community is open to anyone who want to absorb information and in this case, I assume SK II product, the facial treatment essence are not selling enough. I work in marketing, if the product is selling enough, of course I won’t use influencer, well.. what for? I could reap the fruit, without wasting any penny.
This is what I thinking but maybe you have different opinion. You are welcome to share. Like I said on Instagram YMMV (YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY)
