Hello makeup junkie, welcome back again to another base color correcting makeup. To any of you who have problem with red acne or post acne then this post will be useful for you to pick up what kind of color corrector that is perfect for your skin. As you all may know that my post acnes is red because my skin is consider fair but, most of Asian skin tone will have post acne scar that is RED or in beauty dictionary is PIE. You can click on the beauty dictionary and glossary for more knowledge of skin and skincare ingredients.

There are 6 colors that differ in their own function, green is to reduce red and yes, all of them turned into white. A beauty retail staff in Singapore are saying to me “.. but all of them will turned into white what?! Right?!”. Most of you whose agree with this aunty is silly and dumb, sorry not to say sorry. Yes, all beauty brand create something for profit but do we want to continuously use something that is no point? Are you saying that we are all dumb because we use different kind of color corrector for different kind of skin problem?

I was quite disbelief yet I don’t buy the brand, its drug store brand. How you know whether the color corrector is alright for you to use in your skin? The creamy feeling, I can’t really explained it BUT… the comedogenic cream makeup will ‘taste’ differently in my finger, when I swatches or ‘feel’ it, this is what happened when you having ‘too much’ expose to makeup after years and years.

So, what does those color do?

GREEN counteracts spot redness, including blemishes and broken blood vessels. For overall redness, mix with primer for subtle correction.

LAVENDER balances out sallowness and helps neutralize skin with a yellow undertone.

PINK disguises dark circles, particularly on fair skin tones. Also works well as a highlighter and creates a lifted appearance.

YELLOW is perfect for concealing purple-hued dark circles or brightening lackluster complexions.

PEACH works great for dark circles, dark spots, veins and deep discoloration. It’s ideal for blue-hued dark circles, typically seen in deeper skin tones.

DEEP PEACH is a more intense version of Peach, and masks dark discoloration like circles and sun spots. Tip: Great for deeper or bronzier skin tones!

You don’t have to buy every colour, you only need to buy which one you need. For me, I will buy pink and green. Pink for my under eyes – eyelids problem and green is to hide my post acne scar, I sometimes use concealer for this part, if it’s too much because this alone can’t really help entirely.

Lightweight formula

It doesn’t cakey

It’s easy to use

It doesn’t specialise for dry to very dry skin like mine.

Doesn’t really do anything for my post acne scar

Explanation: The colour correcting fluid doesn’t really hide my post acne problem due to the fact that the post acne led my skin into very dry therefore even UD can’t pretty much helped. I need to use oily and very creamy type of color correcting.

This is doesn’t mean that this brand is bad, but it’s just that for dry skin, it doesn’t affect much. If you have same problem with me then you probably need to go for sample first before you buy the actual product. However, if i only have a little bit of dark spot or redness, this product can work just fine, so I assume that if I have heavy type of skin problem, I use this by adding it up with concealer. if you have combination, normal and oily – this probably work for you, because the light weight formula I assume it’s specifically meet for your need. you can always ask for sample, if you having a doubt.

Only one dot is enough and quickly blend it in the area that you want to hide. Don’t add too much or else it will turned cakey. Blend it with your finger, and then use your pressed powder via sponge and press it in the area, so that it looks totally like skin.

You can see the shade through the clear bottle, so it’s easy to find the right one in your bag. The modern flocked applicator picks up and lays down just the right amount of product.
