Makeup ingredient learning lesson:

Dimethicone is use for moisturise your skin or hair or nails, everytime you see this ingredients in makeup whatever its form of dimethicone, it will give you moisturiser so, if you have dry skin then you should wanting this ingredient in your beauty product.

Ascorbyl Palmitate synonym for this ingredient is scorbate-6 palmitate, ascorbyl palmitate and vitamin C-palmitate. There has been a concerned that this ingredients will led to skin cancer, however due to the test with rat, it’s result in positive, therefore there is none concern for this to led into greater damage for the skin.

Mineral Oil (source: WebMd)  is often used as skin moisturiser and it could be used for prevention of skin dry, rough, scaly, itchy and minor irritation of the skin Emollients are substances that soften and moisturize the skin and decrease itching and flaking. Some products (e.g., zinc oxide, white petrolatum) are used mostly to protect the skin against irritation (e.g., from wetness).

The common cause of dry skin is caused by a loss of water in the upper layer of the skin. Emollients/moisturizers work by forming an oily layer on the top of the skin that traps water in the skin. Petrolatum, lanolinmineral oil and dimethicone are common moisturizers to be used, if your skin is dry to very dry. This particular ingredients can led to unclogging pores and therefore the ingredients in the makeup will be consider as comedogenic.
