The Sephora Base lissante Smoothing primer is my 2nd best choice for primer base make up [Dupes: Milani Prime Shiled – $10.00; Lancome La Base Pro – $42.00], however there is pro and cons, when it come to choosing primer. For this primer, due to the safe formulation (see the bullet point), it doesn’t last long yet it’s good for those who seek to still wear makeup but dislike to have their face crippling with acnes or white/black head. I do love the base makeup formula from Sephora, because it formulated with:

  • Oil/Fragrance free
  • Non-comedogenic

That my dermatologist recommend for those who have oil and acnaic skin to use as a base makeup. Like I said, the product has it Pros and Cons. For this primer, the price is quite expensive and it comes in one size which is 15 ml. The bottle is glasses look and it’s easy to carry during travel, since it won’t take out so much space. For S$ 22.00, this bottle could last about 2 weeks, if you plan to use it everyday. If you are college student or office worker, this primer serve you better as it won’t cause clogging pores that will cause acne, it also avoid any makeup after this primer application for any skin problem that the makeup will cause. For example, given that you will wear foundation without safe formulation as I mentioned above in bullet. The primer will try to adjust with the foundation and avoid your face from producing oil that will eventually clogging the pores causing white/black head and acnes.

This primer serve to give average result and it make me feels like I wearing a face moisturizer because my skin is dry. I am someone who picky in choosing my base makeup, from primer, foundation to powder. This primer doesn’t blur fine wrinkles but give smooth finishing as it’s claimed to be. Yet, it’s all depend on your skin condition at the moment. You cannot always rely on makeup to make a perfect look for your face but skincare.
